Stifford Primary School is part of a group of academy schools who work collaboratively through the South West Essex Community Education Trust (SWECET). It is important that each school maintains its own uniqueness whilst also gaining support and knowledge by working together.

Our school is a happy, welcoming place with a positive ethos towards learning. We are ambitious for our pupils and know that the experiences they have at school will shape their futures. All of our staff, parents and pupils are actively involved in school improvement as important stakeholders.

Our curriculum has been designed to cater for the wide range of needs and abilities of pupils in our school. The core subjects of reading, writing, mathematics and science are given due value but we are also conscious of ensuring that children access the full curriculum through our Cornerstones approach. Cornerstones allows for interesting, engaging topics to be taught whilst intertwining the range of foundation subjects in the curriculum, such as: music, geography, and history. Extra-curricular activities are essential for children to fully experience a broad and balanced curriculum and these include: trips, visitors to our school, after-school clubs and offering our support to a wide range of charities, such as Jeans for Genes Day.
