Different Types of Funding in Nursery
15-Hour Funding
Children are universally funded the term after their third birthday. This is automatically provided to the school therefore you will not need to do anything.
When a child becomes eligible for Universal Funding, they are offered the chance to increase their sessions only if there is space available. These hours can be split between more than one childcare providers if needed.
30-Hour Funding
You can apply for 30 hours when your child is 2 years and 9 months old. More information on when you should apply will be found in the link below.

If you are eligible for 30 hours, every effort will be made to provide each child with the maximum number of hours they are eligible for but cannot be guaranteed due to availability. You can split funding between more than one childcare provider.
2 Year Old Funding
You can apply for 2 year funding the term after your child turns 2 and if you meet the criteria. If you believe you are eligible you can apply at https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/free-childcare-2-year-olds

EYPP
Early Years Pupil Premium is an additional amount of funding that nurseries can claim for eligible three and four-year-old children to support their development and learning. Your child must be claiming early years funding (Universal 15 hours) to claim for EYPP.
